are all capsules equal?

this is the problem we all face when we choose to buy capsules over beans and / or ground coffee. For some of us we buy the expensive bean to cup machine and then wax lyrical over the whole process - or we buy a pod machine and then try to find capsules that work for us. The choice is always endless and extremely hard to justify - as the pods mount up on the side of the kitchen where you have realised that although it says lungo, it also says Peru and you generally don't like Peru but you don't want to throw away your pension fund into the bin simply because the pods that you spent a fortune on don't light your fire. So we then go for discounted - like these ones. And hope for the best - like the variety pack presented here. So is it worth the investment? I think that from a standpoint of value for money the answer has to be of course it is. The simple cost per capsule is unrivalled. Are the capsules nice? OK - harder to determine because one man's Columbian Robusto nectar is another man's Ecuadorian mudslide residue. We all taste things differently - but what we get with capsules, as with instant coffee, is consistency. I purchased decaf as for me, a company's decaf is a benchmark for how good everything else is likely to be. Decaf is generally more expensive to produce and comes with certain guarantees that are generally expected to be inviolable - namely that it is decaffeinated and that it should generally not lose flavour simply because the caffeine has been removed. .Some time back I had to drink decaf for medical reasons and so I have come to appreciate a decent decaf and also its expense. I reiterate that the flavour is and will always be a personal issue and should not really come into a review unless the capsules don't work or are stale or there are not enough grounds to make a decent cuppa. None of the above apply here - but you are ordering a sample set of the La Capsuleria pods which will in turn help you to make a decision about future purchases. The box comes with packed individually wrapped capsules as well as 10xpacks. They are all in-date and all seem to work with my "weird" pod machine which is a multi-pod machine that can take almost any pod as well as create a coffee cup of liquid from ground coffee too. It is worth the investment - shipping to the UK was quick and FedExxed, arriving within 5 days of ordering. The selection was enough to get an idea of the taste of the pods - and I am happy with the choice (not everyone will like every type of pod but you are purchasing a tasting selection so don't expect to like every one of the different pods in the box!). Now I can explore the range alongside keeping decaf pods in my storage containers - which are not too bad for the record. I have no photos to share but the box is exactly as it says it is so give it a go!
