Preparation:
We start by switching on our coffee machine, then take our favourite milk from the fridge and place it in the milk frother according to the instructions on the frother to be able to whip it properly.
We switch on the milk frother and wait about 60 to 90 seconds for the milk to be fully whipped.
When the milk frother has finished frothing the milk, pour the whipped milk into a cappuccino cup and then pour the coffee into the same cup.
Sweeten to taste with your favourite sweetener and you are done.
In about 2 minutes you will have a super creamy cappuccino with lots of foam. Your mornings and breakfasts will be sweeter and creamier from now on :)
Historical background
Cappuccino is a hot drink consisting of espresso, hot milk and milk foam. Its origin is linked to the history of Capuchin monks, who created this drink in the 1700s to satisfy their need for a nutritious and tasty breakfast. The name 'cappuccino' refers to the light brown colour of the milk foam, reminiscent of the colour of the hoods worn by Capuchin monks.
But the cappuccino is not just a drink from the past, it is a classic that never goes out of fashion. With the evolution of technology and the discovery of new flavours and ingredients, the cappuccino has developed into a versatile drink that can be enjoyed in many variations and customisations.
The cappuccino quickly became popular throughout Europe and the United States, and today it is one of the most common drinks in cafés and bars around the world. But why limit yourself to bars when you can enjoy a great cappuccino at home?
